Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Wow! Where does the time go? Most of us here at the MacDonald ranch have been hit by a cold or a flu...or flold (or is it a clu) or some such combination over the past few weeks.  No time really for sending out xmas cards (yet) when there are noses to wipe, other fluids to mop, and general lack of sleep. Good times! We might just as well hold off sending them till the new year.  In any case, thanks to those who are dear to our hearts - you know who you are.  Best wishes and have a safe season!  See you soon!

Matthew's tree

Matthew's tree
The whole fam went to the "multiple births family association" holiday get together in Ottawa today. It was held at the Cdn museum of Science & Tech. Sure it was for the twins, but Matt got his face painted. He chose the tree design. The lady who did it was great. Very patient. Can't say much for some of the other customers who were 'tired' of waiting in line. It was fun though. Twins everywhere.

Roméo Dallaire

Roméo Dallaire
via Ottawa International Writers Festival:
"L.GEN THE HON. ROMÉO DALLAIRE (Ret) was first confronted with child soldiers in unnamed villages on the tops of the thousand hills of Rwanda during the genocide of 1994. Believing that not one of us should tolerate a child being used in this fashion, Dallaire has made it his mission to end the use of child soldiers. Join us for an intellectually daring and enlightening introduction to the child soldier phenomenon, as well as inspiring and concrete solutions to eradicate it."
