Alistair MacLeod inscribed my copy of his first collection of short stories, The Lost Salt Gift of Blood (1976). Thanks to Jean-Marc Carisse, the only other photographer present at the 70th anniversary of the Canadian Film Institute last evening. Mrs. Anita MacLeod looks on.
