David Cation's Art

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph some of the art of David Cation (<-- not these ones, however) at the Gallerie La Petite Mort Gallery. You may remember from a previous post on my weblog that I had photographed his Angels on Bank Street for the covers of rob mclennan's most recent book of poetry, Aubade. David, formerly of Ottawa, was in town recently as part of a showing at the La Petite Mort Gallery along with readings from rob mclennan and Nichole McGill. At the very least I suggest you view the video by Aaron Dickson that he made on the subject of Cation's art. Enlightening. After the photo shoot I took home his large drawing, Dark Lover, as a gift from David. [Thanks!]
