Douglas Coupland

Midway through the event Coupland noticed a video camera on tripod in the rear of the Mayfair theatre. Suddenly in the middle of conversation he told them to shut it off (even though it was being filmed by the Ottawa International Writers Festival for promotional use on youtube.) Later on during the panel conversation he said he felt bad about asking the camera man to stop filming him. It was an awkward moment in an otherwise interesting rambling conversation among the guests.
