Science Fiction Cruise Cancelled
I reported back in an earlier post last November that there was to be a science fiction theme-based Caribbean cruise. It was to be the first of a kind happening this spring from May 21-28, 2005. Well, I am sad to say there has been an update.
According to www.sciencefictioncruise.com , they are reporting that "due to unforeseen circumstances, this cruise has been cancelled." The main sponsor of the event was Dell Magazines (publishers of Analog and Asimovs) and they could not be reached for comment. Ahh, honestly, I did not try to reach them for a comment. I just wanted to always say that.
The cruise ship would have departed from Port Canaveral, Florida, with stops at Key West, Belize, Cozumel, and Merida. Nice.
