Lisa Foad in Ottawa
In the photo Lisa points out an eye injury involving a headboard I think it was. Nevermind.
It turns out that Lisa and I once collaborated on a book in 2006.
Foad was the production editor at the now defunct small press publisher McGilligan Books where she and Zoe Whittall published Oni The Haitian Sensation's acclaimed first book of poetry, Ghettostocracy www.mcgilliganbooks.com/books/ghettostocracy.htm which features my colourful Warholesque photos of Oni on the covers. www.flickr.com/photos/johnwmacdonald/181530324/ I hadn't put two and two together till we brought this subject up while doing the photo shoot behind the Buzz restuarant where she just finished reading.
Nikon Presents: Headshot Help featuring Carson Kressley
Thought that this video series is cute and to the point, and it presents some nice to think about tips for shooting headshots and portraits. And who doesn't want to look good in pictures?
"A unique new series starring style guru and television personality, Carson Kressley. Carson shares entertaining and helpful insights and will give real practical advice on how to embrace photogenic qualities in a variety of everyday situations such as vacations, holidays, nights out on the town and weddings."
