Volcano Jacket

Volcano Jacket
George Murray (happy birthday, by the way) posted a photo of his son in a volcano jacket last November on facebook. I saw it and so did my own son. Needless to say I ordered one for him online straight away. So cool, it's hot!!!

Amanda Molloy - Actor

Amanda Molloy - Actor
It was great to see Amanda, whom I photographed last year, begin to get some acting roles. She was on CBC TV's "Republic of Doyle" last evening! Look out for her 'infamous' part on www.cbc.ca/republicofdoyle/videos.html (episode 13)

Gustave Morin

Gustave Morin
Gustave Morin of Windsor, who gave his lengthy visual poetry presentation at the AB Reading Series, takes a break between slide carousels. Doubtless any who were in attendance now have a greater appreciation of concrete poetry.

Gustave Morin
Gustave Morin informs us of what goes into his concrete poetry. Nice peek into his brain. Glad I stayed to the end though my brain was fried by the experience and the day's events.

Gustave Morin - A(F)Front
Sometimes concrete poetry is just knowing how to type a helicopter onto a page. Perfection in each keystroke. (image on wall ©Gustave Morin; body in silhouette ©Charles Earl.)

Shane Rhodes - Err

Shane Rhodes - Err
Taken at the Manx, Plan 99 Reading Series which presented the Book Launch of "Err" by Shane Rhodes.

It was hot inside despite the lovely cool spring day. Must have been the beer tickets, chocolates and poetry books handed out by Monty Reid to the volunteers of VerseFest and the fact that the house was paaaacked!

Not having much personal poetic cred I think that I heard some influence(?) of Christian Bök's Eunoia in some the poems in Err. The reading was strong enough to stand on its own, however, and fun enough that I took home a copy.

Ottawa Corporate Portrait

I did a portrait session recently and just wanted to highlight two things: that I am available to come to your workplace on location and help you with getting shots of your executives and personnel and secondly, offer several lighting setup choices depending how you want to be represented. Below are several different looks done with ambient light and also studio-type lighting. Want both looks? No problem! Give me a call.
