As one of our country’s most successful golfers, Mike Weir has been a goodwill ambassador for Canada and a role model for the sport. Since turning professional in 1992, he has won several major tournaments and was the first Canadian to win the prestigious Masters in 2003. His charitable activities are as notable as his golfing accomplishments. Despite his busy schedule, he has been steadfast in his commitment to raising awareness of, and funds for, a number of children’s causes over the years. In 2004, he established the Mike Weir Foundation to assist children in need.
