Sir John Lavery

UPDATE: John Lavery is featured in the Globe & Mail online here:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/arts/books/could-life-be-better-for-john-lavery-or-worse/article1814867/?cmpid=rss1

Earlier this spring I took John Lavery's author photo for his novel 'Sandra Beck'. Prior to the shoot I did some research and discovered another famous "John Lavery" in history. In this case I came across Sir John Lavery, the Irish painter. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lavery)

After we got the head shots we were after, I took John into his kitchen for an impromptu portrait as an homage to the John Lavery and Ramsay MacDonald painting. You know a MacDonald-does-Lavery-doing-Lavery-doing-MacDonald kind of thing... Anyway, here is the result.

A few months ago Soprano Kareen Lacasse and I teamed up for a promotional headshot photo-session on location in Ottawa. It was a great fall afternoon and the results were spectacular.
