Da Vinci Code Slipping

Slipping. Well, practically plummeting down on the New York Times Best-Seller List. Last week it was number 5 and now, for God's sake it... it's down to 6! Is this the acme of the Code? Does this week mark the death spiral that awaits all best-sellers? Stay tuned next until next week to see if more Code carnage follows. Come on people! Buy some more Code! Gotta keep up the numbers.
I predict there will eventually be the Deluxe Remaindered Edition. Not with the usual black marker stripe on the text block but rather, an embossed line gilt with 24kt gold. Let's see if people will buy that one. I am still waiting for the Broadway play or opera musical to come out. The Da-Vinci-Dancers anyone? The Merry Magdalens? Remember, you heard here first.

Did you read the Code? I haven't read it due to all the hype. Am I missing something?

If you have to ask, 'am I missing something?'...you're missing something. Seriously, I only have the special illustrated edition. A cheeky impulse buy at Chapter's after Christmas. I was hoping that the pics can clue me into the story. And I am soooo worried I will break the spine and it will lose all its collectability value. (sarcasm) Gotta love the book for its hype. Respect the hype. The hype on this book is its true value. Even the print run on the first print run of the special edition was near a million I think. I could be wrong but not by much.

Go to any bookstore and check the print run so far on the book... must be in multiple printings already. I can't bothered to check myself, though. Anyone?
